The Local Area
Playa Blanca is located on the south-west coast of Lanzarote. A large yacht marina, plenty of cafés and a relaxed atmosphere make Playa Blanca the perfect place for a quieter, more sophisticated holiday in Lanzarote.
A small supermarket is available just opposite the villa, with a local tapas bar only 300 metres away.
Approximately a 10 – 15 minute walk from Villa Sara to the Town, Beach, Shops and Restaurants. There are a fantastic variety of cuisines on offer, including Spanish Tapas, Chinese, Indian, Italian and your ‘home from home’ dishes too.
We have three main beaches here in Playa Blanca:
Flamingo Beach, Dorada Beach and Papagayo Beach
Among the beaches, those of Dorada and Flamingo stand out for their white sand and proximity to the main hotels in the area. However, without doubt, the beaches of Papagayo lead the pack. A network of fine white sandy coves is a delight to all its visitors. Although they can be reached on foot or by bike, a car would be recommended since it’s a long trek. You can even get there via water taxi which you can get from the Harbour.
